Frequently Asked Setup Questions

Quick solutions to common questions during first-time installation and configuration.

Where does Astraxis store my profile and settings?

All player profiles, playtime records, and custom settings are stored locally on your machine at %APPDATA%\Astraxis Launcher\profiles.json. You can back up this folder or use the 1-click Export Profile feature anytime.

Do I need Steam, Epic, or Xbox running in the background?

No. Astraxis is a native desktop client that launches your games directly. You do not need to keep multiple store clients open simultaneously, saving memory and CPU for your game.

How do I add a game on a secondary or external SSD?

Steam and Epic secondary drive folders are detected automatically. If you have standalone games on external drives, navigate to your library and click Add Standalone Game to select the .exe.

Will my accumulated Steam hours carry over into my Battle Pass?

Yes! When your profile is created, Astraxis automatically syncs your lifetime Steam hours from your local install, allowing you to unlock higher Battle Pass tiers and layouts right on Day One.
